Take control of your water. Rain water has no added chemicals. Chlorine added to drinking water protects us from harmful bacteria but can adversely affect soil bacteria, aquatic animals, and sensitive pets. The pictured filler diverter captures water from the downpipe to the barrel until the barrel is full. Only one hose for fill and overflow makes for easy indoor installation or attachment to a cistern and keeps mosquitoes from the water.
You can fill barrels with a gravel mix of your choice for pH adjustment and mineral absorption optimized for gardening or animal health.

Help us Help the Environment	This system will adapt to almost all rain gutters. (Cut out 3" diameter circle. If the hole fits over your existing outlet pipe the system will fit, otherwise Plastmo can supply custom adaptors.) Every thing arrives in the barrel ready for installation. All you need is a fine tooth saw and a screwdriver when filling through lid. As pictured barrel has 1.5" hole drilled for filling upright. When lid fittings are used barrel is placed on side. Chlorine can be removed from tap water through evaporation in an open container but this methods contributes to chlorine in the atmosphere and wastes chlorine. Reduce chlorine use by collecting rainwater. Water softeners waste water in the process of softening water . Collect your own soft water from your rain gutter. Reduce salt content of sewer water and waste of salt.
