| How the Plastmo Filler/Diverter Works As water travels down the pipe it circles down the pipe wall. In the diverter is a interior wall about 1/4" in from the outer wall and about 3/8" lower than the top of the side exit hole. Water flows out the diverter until the water level in the barrel or stand pipe reaches the level of the diverter inner wall. Most Debris free falls and misses the diverter wall. The longer the pipe before the diverter the more water will be on the wall. The pipe and diverter must be vertical for proper operation.
