Pictured is a medium tooth hacksaw (there are also special panel saws made for PVC), Plastmo heavy bodied cement, flat blade screwdriver (Robertson #2 or 5/16 nut driver also work well), string for referance (chalk line is easier), measuring tape (I use folding rule it stays stiff), paper towel to remove dust. Sandpaper and emery cloth strip. Use a joint connector to mark a cut line or edge of area to clean. |

I prefer to use a strip of 80-100 grit emery cloth for preparing surfaces to cement. As you see in the photo it is easy to control the area cleaned. |
